The past few weeks I’ve been day-dreaming of sand and surf while working on this newest logo project. The client is a real estate group developing property for rent and sale in Nosara, Costa Rica.
The name of their most recent undertaking is, simply, The Beach House. The logo needed to reflect the aesthetic of Costa Rica— warm, tropical, slightly rugged. The form needed to appeal to surfers and family vacationers alike while making clear that this was, in fact, a place to stay. As a result, the logo is made of palm and wave elements that form the abstract shape of a roof line. Both objects can be extracted and used alone in other collateral materials in the future. The type was kept to a modern face that had a feeling of movement and fluidity to reflect the feel of the wave. The color palette was chosen to match the interior decor of the residence which mirrors the natural scenery in Nosara.
